The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education is well known for our modern and comprehsive adaption of Orton-Gillingham methodology. General class room teachers love our program because it gives them the tools to work with the bottom third of their class, who are having difficulty learning to read. In addition we offer research backed education development programs in Orton-Gillingham methodology for special education teachers, paraprofessionals as well as reading teachers. We also work with school districts in curriculum development. We currently have an Orton-Gillingham product for parents. This highly structured, multi-sensory, and phonics based program is called "Sensational Strategies for Teaching Beginning Readers." We have found many concerned parents who appreciate this state-of-the-art tutorial phonics based program. Parents have found it easy to work with and their children quickly benifit with their improved reading abilities. School districts can use Title I funds for the Institute of Multi-Sensory Education's staff development programs in updated Orton-Gillingham methodology. IMSE supports early intervention. The Institute feels that it is important to lower the number of children who are not keeping up with reading, spelling, and writing in the K thru 2nd grades. We want all the students at grade level when they enter the 3rd grade. The Institute for Multi-Sensory Education's staff development programs can be custom designed for the special needs of each teacher, school, and school district. The Institute's Orton-Gillingham methodology is an ideal answer for remediation of at risk students as well as for giving assistance to children who have fallen below grade level or who have learning disabilities, dyslexia, or other problems preventing their learning to read.
